show us some leg!

in my parents' very open new living room, the fireplace is directly across from the sofa. my mum wants to put two upholstered chairs angled in on either side. she's been thinking slipper chairs, but i like the idea of showing a little leg! she's game for that, too, but only if she can find the right pair. even though i was originally thinking of stripes, these solid silk chairs from bombay company could look beautiful, especially if the shade of gold is exactly right. if not, i'd go for a milk chocolate brown. in either case i'd find the perfect throw pillow to place on each one—or maybe just one? and i'd definitely want to see some greenery in plant form nearby. below is the sofa she picked out along with a sample of the carpet. lovely!
