the nest, part two

ok. i wasn't going to post this because it's sad. and because i already posted a sad story about ed. but this, too, has a happy ending, or rather a happy new beginning, so i thought i'd share ...

almost a month ago, i wrote about a lovely little bird that decided to build her nest in the portico at my parents' place. what i didn't tell you was that one week later, the landscapers took down the nest. my whole family was heartbroken. that's the sad part. the happy part is that that little bird did not give up. she started building another nest in the same place. {love her!} this time, i made a sign for my parents to hang asking people not to touch.
