inviting

invites
i finally finished the invitations for my soon-to-be sister-in-law ashley's bridal luncheon. they turned out pretty cute. i embellished each hand with a diamond ring and decorated the flower centers with a sugary glass glitter. subtle sparkle. i can't believe the wedding is this month!

These are lovely! What is the ring, a little rhinestone? Very cute.

yup, the ring is a little rhinestone i glued on there. there are all different cuts ... square, emerald, marquis and my favorite, round.

hi just passing by.. did you come up with that little poem yourself? that's such a good idea, but i don't want to "steal" it if it's your writing.

thanks for the nice e-mails! i did do the drawing, and yes, shag was my inspiration! i love the elegantly slender, lovely, lovely ladies he features and wanted to capture that in the slim arm tossing the bouquet. i was also inspired by the you send me card line that uses the very fine sugar glitter. i think these invites turned out pretty cute, but if i were to do them again, i'd make them a little smaller!!
